I have a question.
Which single coil Seymour Duncan pickups (middle and neck) would be best to combine them with Seymour Duncan Custom Custom SH-11 humbucker?

what do you want from the single coils? do you want them to sound like a vintage strat or do you want something with more power and midrange that will better match with the sh11 in the bridge? 500k pots? do you want noiseless or is a true single coil preferred?

Also, is volume balance with the bridge pickup important to you?

Volume balance is crucial so I figure that something with more power is appropriate. Noiseless, 500k pot.

then id look at hotter than vintage stack+ models. hot vintage stack+ or custom stack+. both should sound good with 500k pots, the vintage hot stack+ will be a bit brighter and lower output with less mids than the custom stack+

no. stks4 are classic stacks which are vintage output, with a slightly hotter bridge
stks6 is the custom stack
stks7 in the vintage hot stack

You beat me to it. A Hot Rails and Cool Rails are kinda, (to my ears), their own thing. Not much like anything else. In a good way.

Well, a Cool Rails is more scooped than anything, while both the bridge and neck Hot Rails EQ is opposite- a big bump in the mids.

i agree, the cool rails are kinda scooped and the hot rails are anything but scooped. i really like the hot rails in parallel too
