HSS Pearly Gates SSL-1 ?

Thinking about going this route. Always loved the SSL-1 demos for the bite and clarity of the pickups. Also really like what I hear from the PG bridge humbucker. But are they a good match? Anyone ever tried them together before? Really my major concern is if the A2 in the PG will jive with the A5 in the SSL-1.
 
i think thats a great setup. ive wired up similar strats before and loved the results. i usually left the tone control off the bridge pup and auto split when mixed with the middle pup
 
Both are bright pickups, so there is no worry there. The only issue might be the hum you get from the singles which will go away when you select the humbucker. You can always go with stacked singles like the Classic Stack Plus if you think that would be an issue for you.
