Re: HSS review
On topic (i guess): I would never use black hardware, H/S/S configuration, any color except for black or white, a mahogany body, mixed single coils-humbuckers, any 250k pots with humbuckers, rosewood fingerboard, or use anything but DR strings on a stratocaster. Thanks for taking so much time to write this review, though, it definitely is thorough. I'm glad you like it. I just didn't think making a new thread was necessary for a small wondering like mine. Also let it be noted I hate Fender pickups, all of them I've ever tried. The only Fender pickups I've ever liked are the PG+, and, interestingly, the Tex-Mex Jimmie Vaughan pickups. They smoke noiseless or any other Fender pickups I've ever tried. Fender pickups just seem to completely lack character to me.
This tremol-no and the callaham trem block are very interesting to me. I hate that my strat has a trem, I wish more than anything it was a hardtail. How does installing the tremol-no work exactly? Is it very difficult to install a new trem-block? What would you say is the main advantage of the callaham vs. stock fender trem blocks?
