HSS Set similiar Ibanez AZ / SD Hyperion

Hey guys,

so i am planning a new project, an HSS Strat. I recently played the prestige Ibanez AZ line quite often and was very impressed with the sound. Pretty much what i am looking for. Of course the Hyperion set is not for commercial sale, can you guys recommend me a HSS Set that is is comparable and similar to the hyperion Set?

Well THAT was dumb of me... They don't make one! :foot: lol I must have seen it on Reverb or some other place.

The bridge Hyperion is similar to a Pegasus. A set of SSL-1s or SSL-2 won't get you too close to a Hyperion neck, but they will give you a good single coil sound. If you wanted to get a sound close to the Hyperion neck (which is based off of a Sentient) you will have to use either a Cool Rail neck or a Lil 59 neck, both of which are single coil sized humbuckers. They won't be spot on, or really all that close, but you will be able to hear many similarities between the Hyperion neck, the Lil 59, and the Cool Rails.

I was lucky and found someone who replaced his AZ pups with something else. He sold the whole AZ electronics to me. Sometimes all you need is a lil bit of luck. If the hyperion set will turn out good in my project is of course another question. I also have a Thornbucker + and some zexcoils lying around from another project. Will see what fits the guitar better
