Try the magnets first. The Hybrid is a fantastic pickup in an HSS, though, as it is hot but not hot like a JB, and has an open, scooped sound that blends well with singles.

After reading the descriptions for the custom and C5. The custom with the ceramic sounds like it might fit the bill.
Anything specific I should get for ? I know there are smooth and sandcast magnets etc...
You can convert the sh-11 to become a custom 5. It will reduce the mids, become a lot brighter and higher output as well. I think it could work in your guitar, but you probably need a 250k tone pot for the humbucker just for balance.
Edit: Sh-11 on the other hand may be better with 500k volume and tone controls.

Just get a regular ceramic magnet. If you have any spare pickups at home, one of them might have ceramic in there (especially if they are cheaper humbuckers).
I like a Custom 5 in an HSS setup... but even better the 59/Custom hybrid allows you to split to the strong slug coil (wound like a SH-5 Custom) so your 2nd position will balance better with the single coils. If you're not doing any splitting I recommend something lower output like a 59 to match the output of the single coils better.

Yea tge guitar has a factory push/ pull pot for splitting. I think I'm gonna try the magnet in tge custom custom to make a c5. Should still split the same as the 59/ custom if I use A5, correct?
What sucks is I have a 59 also but it's a neck model and my TB11 is trem spaced. So that'd be a hokey looking 59 custom lol
Well to update I ended up trading the guitar to my co guitarist in the band. But upon bringing it to practice I told him I didn't like the pickups. We plugged it into my DSL100 G12-65 stack and both agreed just too woofy. So pretty sure it's getting a loaded SSS pickguard soon.
But I got a neck in the trade for another strat I have, that has a 70s T TOP and 2 alnico squier singles. Ill be damned if those Squier singles didnt sound great lol Came in a limited edition Squier years ago and i pushed the poles down flat.
