Used to have a JB bridge and Dimarzio SDS-1's in neck & middle, like Jake E Lee. Bought it like that a long time ago...didn't really care for the singles in those positions and eventually pulled them.

- Seymour Duncan Classic Stack Plus (neck and middle), Lil' Screamin' Demon (bridge).
- Volume (500k), push/pull Tone (250k, .022uf cap, wired 50's style), neck blend pot (lower tone pot), standard 5-way blade switch. Push/pull splits the bridge and middle.

Seymour Duncan 35th Anniversary JB (bridge)

DiMarzio Injector neck (middle) cranked almost all of the way down so I can get good pick access. The nice full output of the Injector puts out a vintage output when cranked way down until it's almost flush with the body.

JB, stock true single coil (waiting for an SSL-1), Custom Stack Plus STK-S6.

Chances are I will try a YJM Fury in the neck in the following month.

On my current HSS I have:

Parallel Axis Stack (neck)
YJM Fury (Middle)
Parallel Axis Distortion (bridge)

On one guitar I had:

Hot Stack (neck)
stock middle
Screamin' Demon (bridge)

On the same guitar I had:

DMZ Virtual Solo (neck)
stock middle
Gibson Dirty Fingers (bridge)

Now it's about to get:

Blackouts single bridge (neck) (in white)
stock middle disconnected
Blackouts Metal (bridge) (in white)

In one H/S (so technically not HSS) I have:

DMZ Air Norton S (neck)
DMZ Air Zone (bridge)

Good thread, interesting to see what other people are using.

Me: SSL2, SSL2, 59/C (500k volume & tone).

The 59/C matches the singles very well volume wise. Guitar has elaborate switcheroo so I can get neck+bridge, all three on, split the 'bucker.

volume balances really well and great 2nd position tone with DImarzio AT1. Extremely versatile axe: rock, shred, fusion, blues, pop andanything just under metal. My new Jackson Soloist is more for the metal tones and my mother super strats fill the other voids as well.

I've had every humbucker I could find in mine at some point, but right now I have 3 single coil Fender Fat 50's in my HSS strat. I got sick of trying to balance the singles and humbuckers with the differences in pot values.
