HSS stratocaster JB+SSL1+Texas hot 250k or 500k?

Hello!

I'm new in this forum and I've decided to fix up my old squier stratocaster with alder body and rosewood fingerboard. I've ordered the pickups and disassembled the guitar when I noticed it's 500K pots in it. I've searched the web and I noticed that opinions vary and that it's a lot of different schemes and set ups. I was wondering which pots may suit my choice of pickups?

Best regards!

I'm going to say 250k pots. I have one guitar with the JB and 250k pots and I think it sounds fantastic in that guitar.

Thanks for the answer Bill! I was also wondering which kind of capacitor to use with 250k pots?

250k pots for sure with that set-up. Capacitor selection is a bit more of a personal preference. I would start with a .022uf cap in your SSH. Will you have 1 volume and 2 tones and which 2 pickups will be connected to the tone pots if that will be your setup?

Thanks for the reply. I've ordered a 22uf orange drop. I have 1 volume and 2 tone. I was thinking about doing the SD'S autosplit schematic. I'm open for tips and suggestions though!
