HSS to HHH info please

Hi, I've decided to swap the 2 single coils I have in a HSS pacifica to single coil sized humbuckers. I have a Thornbucker in the bridge that I'll keep. I'm thinking Duckbucker middle with a JB Jr. in the neck. It's a 2 knob guitar, I am not looking to split any coils or anything just enjoy the three pickups as is. As i only have 2 knobs can i use 500k pots for both and do I need any special capicitors to make her sing? thank you for your feedback in advance

Sounds like a good set there, should be quite versatile. 500k pots will be fine, but if your guitar has 250k pots, keep them in case the sound is too trebly for you. Capacitor values are purely personal preference as to how you want the tone knob to work, so anything goes for them IMO.

The JB Jr and humbucker in the bridge will seriously overpower the Duckbucker, but that might be the sound you are going for (sort of a 'volume boost').

That's the least of his worries.... the JB Jr in neck will drown the bridge Thornbucker (a PAF-style iirc?) like a redheaded stepchild... might even be double output or more
