Hubcap speaker grill

Anybody played or heard one of these?
Workhorse Amp by Visual Sound

I like the way it looks - and if it sounds better - great! I wonder if speaker grills can be purchased separately.

I've been wanting to hear the reviews of these since they came out. I'm not too wild about the 6L6's though...

Those are some cool amps. I heard one when they first came out. R.G. Keen worked with them on the design of that amp. He also worked on a couple of their pedals in the past. R.G. is well respected in the DIY world. That grill looks a lot better than duct tape in an X pattern on your grill.

Seems like a really extroverted version of the Weber Beam Blocker. I wonder if the way-distended design adds any acoustical benefit or if it's more for looks.

the "hubcap" grill actually has a functional reason for looking that way. its supposed to give you even sound dispersement so that no matter where you had it set up on stage it sounds great or something.

Looks pretty rediculous to me. Looks like a pain in the ass to mic up too.
