HUGE sounding pedal

Okay I'm thinking about trying out some pedals. Can anyone reccomend some good high gain ones? I've tried the metal zone and thats too much gain and buzzy, and I've had modded Ds-1s and thats not enough gain. I play on a line6 amphead thru the 'metal' channel and I really like the tone I get. Its modeled after a Mesa dual rectifier. I guess I'm looking for a Mesa type distortion pedal that will get me tight, articulate, yet BIG tones.

Start keeping your eyes open for the newest Fulltone...the GT500. It'll be around $210, but well worth the money. Check out all the specs on the fulltone site. I'm quite sure that's the one you want.

Another couple that you might like are the MI Audio Tube Zone or the T.Rex Michael Angelo signature model.

You want a HUGE sounding pedal? Get a Way Huge Swollen Pickle clone, there's none bigger. Through the Road King cranked it's a massive wall of sound perfect for Doom and Stoner. :)

Check out the Righteous Tones Sonic Mayhem, it's also Muff based but it's incredibly tight on the pick attack. Sloppier than most "metal" pedals but I think that makes it very Recto like.

Awesome, I'll check those pedals out guys and let you know. But also remember I have to play thru a solid state line6 amp. For various reasons I wont have money so my spider amp head will have to do.

You might also check out the EH Metal Muff, I've heard some soundclips for it and they sounded great, but they aren't on the EH site anymore. May be more Marshally than Mesa though. Worth trying at the store though.
