What do think of hughes and kettner's tube safety control? Does it actually work and is it worth getting the amp because of it?

Re: hughes and kettner tube safety control

Is it a nice feature to have? If it works, probably. Does it work? Honestly IDK, I've had my Tubemeister for 4 or 5 years and never had an issue with tube failure. Is it worth getting the amp because of It? Not if you don't like the way the amp sounds, and the built in Red Box and silent recording capabilities were more of a determining factor for me, but that was before there were really any other amps that did that on the market.

Owner of a Grandmeister 40 Deluxe for about a year now, and so far absolutely no issues concerning the tubes.

H&K make solid pieces of kit, and with so many sound and features, it's hard not to find an amp that wouldn't meet your requirements.

It's indeed a very "hifi", polished sound, so I would advise you test one before you buy.

For me, coming from other tube amp brands, I have found my home.
