hum on bridge push-pull pot

Hi Guys, recently I've just replaced my stock pickups with the SD hot-rodded set and installed with 2 push-pull pots with the intent to have series/parallel functionality as on the following link:

I've installed them now but on the bridge, there is a hum that appears, if I pull the pot up, the hum disappears but the volume is lower. Touching the metal parts does not help and I've checked for grounds and all the cables should be alright and the tremolo claw is grounded. I would appreciate your help with this. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Shazli

Update: I've just noticed that the noise happens when I turn on my fluorescent light. If I turn it off, the noise goes away. Should I put copper shielding in my guitar cavities? Is the SH-4 prone to noise? :eyecrazy:I appreciate any advice. Thanks
