i just completed a fender big apple style guitar. I sold one a couple of years ago and regretted it so i decided to build my own.
i installed pearly gates plus in the bridge and SD '59 in the neck just like the original and wired in the fender super strat switch as per the original schematic. Everything is working as it should, the proper pickups are switching on with the right switch positions.
The only problem is that when i use the mid position which are both humbuckers full, the sound is very thin sounding. Each pickup on it's own is fine...good tone and volume. Before i open this up again, do you think i might have to flip the magnet on one of these? any other ideas.
i have checked all the wiring and it is just the way the schematic shows.
thanks. :smack:
