I'm looking at humbuckers at the moment for my SG and maybe in a near future for my new guitar, having a hard time choosing between a Strat and a Dot 335 :yell:
Anyway, the tone i'm after is sort of a Jazzy clean sound that's versatile of doing almost anything. I play mostly rock with a clean tone, not much OD/dist, but it has to be suitable for that to.
If i remember right the solo in the Pink Floyd song another brick in the wall part 2 was done with a p-90 LP, i love that tone very much so i wonder would a phat cat maybe be the choice? Does the Phat cat sound like a regular P-90?
I have never tried a humbucker in the neck position in an Alder strat so i wonder how is that comparred to a Mahogany body? What pup would suit in that position?
Thanks! :burnout:
