Humbucker recommendation for HSS with STK-S7

I am building a guitar with HSS configuration, and a mahogany body. I play modern blues, so the sound I am after is crunchy, mildly overdriven, vintage, lots of character.

I am set on the Vintage Hot Stack Plus STK-S7 in both the neck and middle positions, as I have used them in another guitar and they sound great. What humbucker would be good in the bridge?

The STK-S7 is moderately hot so I don't know if a vintage output humbucker would keep up. I want the bridge to be a similar output volume to the neck and bridge. I am also happy to hear any suggestions outside of the Seymour Duncan range.

 Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum!

I'd think you can look at the Custom, or if you want more mids in the bridge, look at the Custom Custom.

I had a STK-S7 neck with a Screamin Demon bridge in a Strat with 250k pots. The SD was almost flush to the strings and the STKS7 way down to have them balanced volume wise.
As the STK-S7 is a bridge pickups, it's darker in the neck than a STK-S4 so I would look for a bridge pickup that is not too bright to also balance tone wise.

It may be sacrilegious to mention a competitor to SD in this forum, but I have a HSS strat (Schecter Nick Johnson) with exactly what you are doing: a Vintage Hot Stack Plus STK-S7 in middle and neck, and I put a DiMarzio Bluesbucker in the bridge, I all works together very well indeed. I am a blues fan, so I aim at (and get) tones like Matt Schofield and Robin Trower.

the custom family is where id start. personally i might end up with a custom with an a3 magnet. its become a favorite of mine for slightly more than vintage
