What would cause the bass side of a HB to have the copper wire winding stick out from the bobbin more than at the treble end?

Malformed bobbin? Or it's where the coil connections are?

Almost like the 2nd picture from the right but both bobbins were fat on the bass side and skinny on the treble side.

It's hard to explain. Looking down at the pickup the windings bulged out on both bobbins on the bass side then tapered down on the treble side og the pickup.
