Humbucker to single-coil switch?

Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum.....
Maybe this has been asked, so please pardon my ignorance if it has.
I'd like to put a "stacked" humbucker in the bridge of my G&L Legacy.
I'm wondering if it is possible to add a push/pull pot to tap the coils on the pickup (i.e., humbucker to single coil). I have these in my Les Paul and they work well.

If the color coding is the same on a "stack" as it is on a humbucker, just use this diagram as a guide:

Coil Split

The only thing I'ld do different, is place the ground on the top lug of the push/pull, instead of the bottom. I would assume you'ld want split operation with the switch pulled, rather than pushed in.
