Humbuckers and pots in my tele - Help!

Hello.

Little by little I've been requiring more strength from my Tele pups.

First I swapped the Alnico II on the bridge for a Hot Lead Stack, and I love it.
I recently bought a Seth Lover for the neck but I think I'll need to change the pots to 500k. It does make sense since both are humbuckers.

I know this is a matter of experimentation but, what do you guys think? should I change the pots at once with the Seth?

up to you. is it too dark now ?

I dont like 250k with HB cause I find them to dark for my rig but many people like it

they will be brighter and louder if you change . depends if you want that. but its easy and cheap if you solder

edit- sorry read you post again and you say you want more strength so i say do it

Nah. It's really not that important. The Seth can live with 250/250/47 easily.

Maybe exchange the cap with a 23nF.

Now, if you want higher quality pots anyway then go for it.

You just answered the underliying question: how do the pots compare?
I guess 500k let more treble pass than the 250k.

It also seems like the Seth Lover was designed to go into a Tele am I right?

As soon as my pickguard arrives from warmoth I'll give it a try with the 250k.
