which humbuckers to use in a Warmoth alder body strat with a maple neck and fingerboard ? gonna be using floyd rose also ...

mainly for ... classic rock (page, ac/dc) ... hard (guns, van halen) and maybe some old school trash (early metallica, accept, exodus)

Thank you

Re: Humbuckers for alder strat w/ maple board

i'd take the JB bridge a2p neck
JB would do well for ur classic rock and early thrash metal.
a2p for the smooth warm neck tone great for soloing.

Just my opinion though :D

I have a guitar with identical specs. I have two EMG 89s in it. They're not coming out anytime soon.

This is my favorite combo for a Floyd guitar. So plus one on this combo.

I'd say Custom Custom. I installed a brand new CC in my alder strat with maple board a week ago. I think it's great. Great overdriven rhythm sound and nice warm solo sound. Clean sounds are ok too if you just turn down the volume a little bit. Only concern might be the bass, which is not as tight as it could be but it's a matter of preference. Anyway, it should do classic rock and hard rock very well. I'm not sure about trash, I've never been too much into it.

PATB-1 in the bridge, and the PATB neck in the neck, or an APH in the neck. You will never put that guitar down....ever.

Custom Custom. APH or jazz if you're using a neck bucker.

Hi pacer, get a A3 mag and swap it in. A3 is damn near the stock A2, a bit more bass and some more sparkle in the presence. The C3 is the fave in my superstrat, alder with one piece birdseye maple neck.

That sounds interesting. Maybe I'll give it a try someday when I get the
urge to start messing with it again. I've never done a magnet swap before,
but guess there is a first time for everything.
