Humbuckers for Basswood Hagstrom Swede...

Got a Hagstrom Ultra Swede, and it has a fixed bridge, baswood body/flamed maple top and maple neck. I'm looking to change the pickups. I play primarily heavier rock and some metal, with cleans thrown in here and there. Tuning usually standard or drop d, c would be the absolute lowest. I have an SH-5 Custom sitting around, don't know if this would be an ok option for the bridge? What would you guys recommend? For the neck as well, i'd like something that can clean up but have some nice solo tones. Thanks!

You should put an A8 magnet in the Custom and fall in love with your guitar.
Also buy a SD 59' for the neck.

I like the pickups, better than most stock ones i've had. But the bridge especially gets a bit too muddy for my taste, and i'd like them a bit hotter. so heaviness, clarity, and a little hotter. And something that will help the basswood with low-end definition.

stick the custom in there just the way it is, that should actually be pretty close to what you want. what do you want out of the neck pickup though?

Neck i'd just like something that can clean up but sound good for soloing as well. I was thinking a '59, but i'm open to suggestions.
