My 8.75K PG+ is a great pickup. Almost perfect. It sounds excellent also in my LP.
My 8.70K 59b is also great. It is true that they are quite similar, but the difference is that PG+ has more uppermids, making it a better Duaney kinda pickup. I am talking about the fillmore east tone, that is easier with a PG+.
BTW fender PG+'s with gibson spacing, not trembucker spaced.
Moreover, white SD HB's is not what you are looking for. You want to get a little off white, called parchment or something.
PG+, 59b, are excellent A5 PAF clones. In the neck I'd suggest going a2, because strat necks are already on the bright and defined side naturally. PGn, or better yet an antiquity neck hb would be great.
One last thing: CC works miracles on strat bridges, thick creamy tones.
