Humbuckers that sound good with 250k pots

I'm looking for a humbucker to put in my strat and preferably without having to change the 250k pots. Are there any humbuckers that sound good with 250k pots that get close to sounding like a humbucker with a 500k pot? I'm trying to get as close as possible to getting a les paul like sound in my strat.

I play Gibson-design guitars, and use two 250K's on almost ALL of my HB's and P-90's. This includes Duncan, DMz, Gibson, Fralin, Rio Grande, Carvin, & Schaller PU's. Why have more treble with 500K's, in a location that's bright and sharp to begin with? You can ovedo treble.

Plenty of bucker sound good on 250k pots. I personally have used VHPAF, custom custom and Super D with 250 pots in a strat with good results.

Trying to get a les paul sound from a strat will be more limited by the strat construction than the pots. From what I am told, some of the PATBs work really well at this though.

What difference exactly do pots make on tone? I heard that a 250k pot will give lower output than a 500k pot and also less treble. Is there any truth to this? I play mostly metal so I need the output and I'm not really looking for a smooth tone either.

My favorite pickup for a mahogany les paul type guitar that I've tried is the JB. I've only tried it with 500k pots though. Would the JB in an alder strat with 250k pots give a similar sound?

No idea on the JB with the 250 pots... but maybe 250 pots will tame the JB's bright sound?

Lower output only in the sense that 250K's shave of the worst part of the upper treble. Assuming you have a volume control on your amp that's not kept on '10' all the time, the best approach is to get a good tone and once you do, crank up your amp. PU's are for tone quality, not volume.

From what I´ve heard the JB was originally made for 250k pots. Many who complain about its shrill treble should probably be happier with different pots. I use the quite dark Breed in the bridge of my HM Strat Ultra, and it works well. The guitar is quite bright in general, and I have a TBX tone pot, which goes up 1meg. I put it on 6-7 and gets enough treble if and when I need it.
