Humicase Humidifier Case

This seems like a pretty good guitar case. Now, I don't own a very expensive acoustic (just under $400) but it does have a solid top, and this is Wisconsin...

At this point, I'm afraid to bring my guitar out of the house in this cold weather, considering that all I have now is a cheap gig bag.

Anybody own one? Do you think this would be a wise investment?

That case looks cool! If you don't already have a case I would get it. My Taylor came with a case and it also came with all kinds of documentation on properly taking care of your guitar. You should check out their website and read up on it. Basically the ideal environment is 70 degrees and between 40-60% humidity. I use a Dampit which is basically a rubber tube with a sponge in it that I put in the soundhole. They say to use distilled water as well. I live in Boston and right now it's pretty dry out. I actually keep my guitar in a humidified room when it's home.

I would get the case. You're probably gonna pay $60 to $100 for a nice hardshell case anyway and then you'll still have to buy the humidifier. The other nice thing about the case is it has 2 humidifiers... on for the headstock/neck and one for the body.

Good luck!

Re: Humicase Humidifier Case

I think I'm going to order it, but I'll have to shoot Musician's Friend an email before I do. They have a digital hygro-thermometer pictured with the case, but it's not mentioned under the features. It's one of the features I was really excited about at first, and I'd like to know if it does indeed come with the case.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this case?

Ok, so it doesn't come with the digital hygro-thermometer. It only comes as a part of the $40 humitidy control package, or by itself for $19.99. Still a cool case though. I'll probably order it today or tomorrow.
