Hwy1strat sunburst finish...?

Has anyone seen (in person) the sunburst finish on the Fender highway 1's? I've heard the finishes look cheap... is that true with the sunburst also?.. ohh and is the sunburst finish matte or glossy?

All the HW1 guitars have a tine matte finish, but it is not cheep! I prefer it to the standard Fender finish...it alows the guitar to ring more.

These are amazing guitars for the money!

if you compare the lacquer one with the poly american sunburst, the american one looks shinier. I have a small chip on the back of my american deluxe, and the poly coat is VERY VERY thin, so that's a plus.

My favorite highway one is the transparent blue one like stratdeluxer has. Beautiful looking strat, and you can clearly see the grain.
