Well this might be exactly what I was looking for to go into a Les Paul:
I made 2 Hybrids out of a '59 bridge (wax potted AV) and an Antiquity bridge (non wax-pottted, degaussed AII)
My favourite is the one with the screw coils of the Ant with the degaussed AII magnet of the Antiquity pickup.
Funny thing is: one coil is wax potted ('59) the other is not (Ant).
The sound is very open, warm, yet aggressive. Not harsh in anyway.
I always liked the Ant's but wasn't too impressed about the power, like the 59 has. So, that got me thinking
