Hybrids once more

Does the Custom 5 come in a neck model? I want to make a '59/something hybrid for the bridge of a PRS, and I want something pretty hot. Is there a good hybrid of Alnico II+something that will make it a little hotter and more Slashly in the neck? Would a Distortion+Alnico II or '59 neck and a '59+Custom or Disortion sound good? Anybody tried any of those combos? I'm pretty lost as to what I want to put in this baby, but the hybrids sound good.

The "ussual" hybrid for the bridge it's a 59/CC. For the neck I don't know but If you like unballance coils you could try the Pearly Gates which comes with unballance coils stock.

Anyway, if you would like to get Slash tone, beard in mind that he allways have used an Alnico Pro set (APII) in his Les Paul.

To answer your question directly, no. All the Custom series are purely bridge models.

Hmmm. So would a distortion/'59 work in the neck? That'd probably sound pretty nice. The Alnico II is too low output for me, I know he uses them. But he uses hotter custom ones that I don't want to pay the Custom shop for. And also I want something that will give me my own tone without paying a ton.

A Demon/59 might work well for a slightly hotter neck pickup... I like the 59/Jazz or the 59/APII
