I am aiming towards a NGD need opinion

I am looing into a NGD soon since my B-Day is coming soon and I get a decent amount of $$$ so I am looking into N.G.D. or N.A.D.

for new guitar day I am thinking a
Gibson SG I don't know what type yet I am just generally giving an idea but no Min-E tune at all (hate em)
or
Fender Telecaster I am not knowing of type just whatever is affordable and good

I don't have any sway between the two as I currently own a Epiphone SG and Fender Stratocaster and love them both they are my most used guitars out of the 4 (soon to be 3)

I am hoping you guys can tell me if you have had any problems with either products new since I know my friends SG broke out of nowhere and it took months to be fixed and he is getting it back soon... so anyway I like both of em just looking for input for leniency . Either way I am probably going to try both thoroughly.

What kind of amp are you rockin' right now?

Maybe an upgrade there would give you the most bang for your buck.

LOL that is only for school thats not my normal amp LOL I use a JCM800 50 watt 2203 ok, man that would be bad

I like my sound but idk just craving NGD I really want a Gibson SG since I love my SG now and I think a good Gibson one would be awesome

I like the sound from tele and sg it is a tough choice and I need some weighing factors so please help lol I have a pretty good amp

If you love the tones that your amp is giving you, then a new guitar will be a good option.

The epi SG's (and LP's for that matter) tend to be mystery wood with a veneer of mahogany top and bottom to make them look the part. There will certainly be tonal improvements from the wood side of things by getting a real mahogany SG, however if you're just going to stick an invader in then the Epi will give you essentially the same thing.

There are some cool tele's like the 72 thinline which have the 'wide range' humbuckers in there. Or you could go a stock MIM......they're really good bang for buck - they're even putting good CTS pots in them these days, and the pickups are really beefy.
