I had a blacked out metalized Tele with a SD Hotrail and Dimarzio Copper. Unfortunately it seemed to always fall just short of achieving convincing metal tones. It was also prone to feedback due to the high gain and metal bridge plate. No matter what I did.
Felt nice, looked great, but sounded meh.
If you have the coin, look onto a Jim Root Tele. That is the ultimate Tele shaped metal guitar.
(Purists need not apply)

Guitar Center has an absolutely stupid deal right now on an all black G&L ASAT Tribute Deluxe for $300. It's a beautiful guitar. Arched maple top on a mahogany body, HH pickup configuration. Don't ask any questions. Just get one. There is no better guitar line for the money out there IMHO...and that's before the 33% discount.

Oddly enough, another 95/96 MIM Strat in about the same condition as the one I have..

A Mayones Regius 6 Pro and I'm on the lookout for another Tele or acoustic (my current Acoustic is warped).

To build another set-neck. Possibly an LP Jr. Other than that, nothing really. Been thinning the herd here recently out of necessity.
