LOL Made ya look.

In all seriousness do any of you guys have any experience with any of the G Benders out there? I wander if it would even be possible to do on my B Bender Tele?

Butch.....
Christian.........

Anyone?????

Re: I am interested in pulling G Strings........

Y'know, now that I think about it, a G-bender would be MORE useful to me than a B-bender, since I'm a big fan of the bending the G-string to unison thing.

You gonna try to rig both benders on one guitar?

I dunno. :smack: I am just offering the question to get some creative ideas ya know.....

Re: I am interested in pulling G Strings........

I'll bend a G String only if that hottie in your avatar is wearing it. ;) (I know she's your g/f, just messin').

I've never played a B-Bender. They are interesting to say the least. Watching Brad Paisley play one makes me wonder how the hell you use it like that.

See, I didn't even know it was a G Bender. :laugh2:

Bring it on, bro. :D

The thought of 2 benders on one guitar is cool though. It would put the guitar in the pedal steel ballpark a little bit. And those things are a bitch to play.

Now this has to be filmed.
I meant no offense. Just playin' around. There will be no throwdowns here. :beerchug:

Cause he knows I'll whoop em'. LOL :laugh2: :chairfall :beerchug:

Back to the topic. My next guitar will probably be one of the MIM Esquires. My local shop has a couple of them in stock and they are mighty fine guitars. It would be easy to fit one of those with a palm activated G Bender. It will be a good ways down the road though. I am exhausted guitar buying wise right now.

Re: I am interested in pulling G Strings........

After my Tele is built and I get used to it and learn me some country type licks, I might consider some sort of bender. They've interested me for some time, more intriqued, but I've never played one myself.

Actually, Brad uses only a G bender. I used to use a guitar the had both. It got to where I was using the bending more than actually playing guitar... I went back to the B-bender and it does best for me. YMMV....

I know a couple of great players who use both. Jimmy Olander and Mike Skaggs.....

Re: I am interested in pulling G Strings........

A G bender...why? You gonna bend it up to the second or ninth?

I dunno...I'd go for a B bender myself. That's the pedal steel tone.

You can bend the B up to a C#, which is the 6th (or 13th) in the Key of E.

Seems more useful for country stuff...

Re: I am interested in pulling G Strings........

The best part about it is that I'm not a "country" guitarist. I am just curious and I enjoy experimenting with the B. I just never have done much with a G bender.

Re: I am interested in pulling G Strings........

Cool, sounds like something I'd totally never use :laugh2:
(and for all you string bending needs)
FLOYD ROSE ALL THE WAY BABY!
