I am really starting to dig buckers as much as singles...

Maybe it's because I had an EB/MM with 2 buckers and lately have been playing a friends LP Custom with a 59/JB combo. I think I might put a bucker in the bridge of my FLAMEKASTER. I want a single coil sized bucker and not a full sized bucker. I had a Lil 59 for Tele that I liked, but I am wanting something a little more intense. What do you folks suggest?

Hot Rails Tele bridges are just that...HOT! Loses the Tele vibe when clean but sounds cool under gain. I'd be interested in the Dimarzio Tone Zone for Tele, haven't tried one yet though.

only other duncan that i know of is the hot rails tele. That one is seriously INTENSE . I'm sure the custom shop could do a JB jr. or somthing in a tele bridge pickup.

Dimarzio has got a few offerings for bridge-position tele buckers too...

I've tried the chopper...nice little pickup. Retains a lot of that "single coil sound", but has quite a bit more output. Tried it on a strat though, so dont really know what The chopper T would be like.

There's also the super distortion T, and the Tone zone T. Never Tried either of those though.

My real opinion? Keep your teles traditional, and be a Tele/Les Paul/MM guy.
The more I play all different kinds of guitars, the more I realize I should leave them to do what they were intended for. Use the best tele pickups on your teles, and use sweet low output humbuckers on the LP. The MM is probably best with medium output pickups. Every guitar has it's niche.

Try the Quarter pound for Tele...thicker then a "traditonal" pickup and not as heavy as a 'bucker.

Im 100% with GJ on this...I have a Strat with buckers that I NEVER play...I pickup a strat and I expect it to sound like a Strat, same for a Tele and an LP...just get another guitar
