My luthier friend and I are always giving/trading things back and forth. He gave me a guitar, I gave him a gun. I gave him a 'fridge, he gave me a fret-job/setup. That kind of thing, over and over through the years.
The other day, I was talking about building an SG. He just gave me something very cool:

That's genuine circa late 50's, early 60's, Honduran Mahogany. Should be enough for a couple of SG's. :banana:
I told him that I probably shouldn't use that wood for my first build. He said . . . "Very wise, grasshopper."
I need to practice with my pine, but stay tuna-ed.

P.S. The wood is actually much darker in person. I guess the camera flash lightened it up.
