I broke my Blues Saraceno

I almost crying, so sad. Sorry my english, but I will try to explain

Yesterday this HB dropped from my hand and hit the floor.
Then I noticed that one of the sides, where the screw goes, was bend: no more "L" shape, was "V" shape instead.
So I tried to return this side to their "L" original position.

A second later I had the HB in one hand and the "L" side in the other hand :banghead:

What can I do? May I solder this side of the PU?:help:

Re: I broke my Blues Saraceno

Yes, you can solder it back on and it will be fine. I actually modified a set of DiMarzio pickups in exactly that way so that they would fit a set of Carvin pickup rings properly.

I snapped the "L" shaped tabs off of a Carvin pickup and soldered them to the base plate of the DiMarzio pickups. Worked great, no probems.

Re: I broke my Blues Saraceno

I will try to solder first, but just in case, where can I get a baseplate?. Thanks:)

I think Stew Mac sells them. Contact Seymour Duncan's Customer Service. They might be able to help you with that too.

Re: I broke my Blues Saraceno

Same happened to one of my Customs. I contacted Maricella Juarez with Email. I got 2 baseplates (one flatfooted and one deep) within 2 weeks for free to Germany. Great service!!

Re: I broke my Blues Saraceno

I would like to thanks to Derek Duncan. Really fast response and he is going to send to me a bottomplate replacement (no charge!)

This news makes me as happy as a dog with two tails :yourock:

Re: I broke my Blues Saraceno

It's been said before, and it'll be said again, this is just one of MANY reasons why all the people at Seymour Duncan RULE!

That's awesome, man. Glad you're happy. :fing2:
