i have looked far and wide and i found the right daw. i am using sony acid to record but i was wondering if any body uses it and if so what interface are you using?

i guess i could pick up a mixer and a behringer u control but if there is something of beter quality i would love to know my options

any help is appreciated

so far i know the daw i have a handbuilt custom computer parts from newegg has an i3 cpu with 1tb or hdd space and i run it mostly offline and im going to use the other computer to put my music up on myspace and stuff like that i have 2 shure sm57s and im looking into di and reamper boxes and also studying the physics of acoustic treatment and building an isolation cabinet so the only thing left to do is figure out how i can get the sound from the mic to the computer :D

Not many people like ACID, not sure why. Buy a software bundled with the interface from a good music shop and I'm pretty sure you'll be happy. Best to dedicate a whole computer for DAW applications and have it custom built (alot cheaper, mine started at $499 AUS) Run at least dual core, get a good soundcard put in, have some firewire ports and it makes all the difference. When it comes to good and I mean REAL good sound, you can't skimp on your DAW stuff.
