wow did i land something i've always wanted...i'm still drooling and can't believe i bought it!!! a "strat head" Texas USA made schecter, all origional parts and electronics in nearly mint condition! i was told it's a 1982 which would mean it's a Tom Anderson era schecter and judging by the two strap pins and the low serial number that does make sence. anyway, here are the pics from the seller, it gets shipped out to me on Thursday and when it gets here i'll post a review. man i'm psyched!! this thing is gonna :headbang: i'm sooo happy right now!!!

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

Wow, I'd make babies w/ that gtr, fo sure.

Early "Strat heads", whether it be Charvel, Kramer, Schecter, are all sooooo sexy.

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

you whore. I shouldn't have egged you on for this one. lol.

actually, this was a worthwhile purchase.

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

Monty...thanks!

odie, you can come play it any time man!!

foamer...i agree 100% strat heads...charvel and schecter are my personal holy grail guitars for some reason. that's why i couldn't let this one past! i want a charvel strat head in a BAD way and this should hold me over pretty well 'til i can land one!

X...i blame this on you lol. J/K

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

Awesome color in that flame top! Im liking it, though maybe a non painted headstock would make it better for my eyes. Those are some "fat" rails in there, i'll bet that thing will sing!

Good score.

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

I like the painted headstock...it's rare that I do, but it works here. Sharp guitar!

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

Damn...that's gorgeous! Nice pick, too ;).

How much did you snag it for?

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

Yeah... does the pick come with the a guitar? IF so, that is one cool deal...

Seriously, that is a FINE looking instrument!!! I hope it sounds as well as it looks... Hopefuly you will post clips once you develop some rapport with it!!!

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

:32: I almost bought a Tom Anderson era Tele head Schecter Tele a few years ago :32: ...it was simply an amazing guitar, I still regret not grabing that one :smack: ...yours should be just as nice...good score, congrats! Let me know when you get tired of it!!!

BTW...I wonder what's under the hood?! :)

You whore.

why yes i am lol.

i rather not talk price but i did get a good deal IMO for an amazingly clean guitar.

TGWIF...it's got the origional factory Texas USA made schecter pickup in it and the origional factory push pull pot connected to it. this thing should rock! i have pics of everything, the routing on this guitar is odd to say the least lol. it's all factory you can tell but it's a route pattern i've never seen before. but i also never owned a schecter usa guitar lol.

thanks for the compliments everyone, i'm still amazed i landed it!

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

xssive,
be prepared to stop playing your other guitars. I have a Schecter usa scorpion and my Music Man Petrucci does nothing but collect dust!
anyway, enjoy your almost new guitar.

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

Wow, that thing's a major closet classic! I wonder if Tom Anderson made it? Since Schecter started as a guitar parts co., it was probably a one-off. They used to have a location in LA, and I remember playing all those early Schecters. They play like Andersons, basically. Fast playing necks with minimal fretbuzz. I woulda bought that too. Since it's already your style, you don't even need to change a thing!

Re: I couldn't pass this one up...

one hum one knob and a push pull coil split, i'm in heaven man! no mods for this one, it's a bit too rare for that lol. from what i was told it's a 1982 which was Anderson era (he started in '77 left in '84 if i'm not mistaken) and the double strap pins make me think it has to be during his era since that's his thing still to this day. also the pickup says "Schecter Dallas Texas" on the bottom which is also Anderson era. i can't wait to feel the neck on this...all i keep hearing is they have a "magic" to them.
