I.D. a SD Antiquity pickup for me please?

I have an Antiquity Texas Hot single coil that is what I thought was a neck or middle position pup, but as short as the wires are I'm thinking it might be for the bridge. The number on the back is 94125595, along with what looks like the maker's name, plus a label indicating the output of 6.63 ohms.
Can anyone help me identify and confirm what I have here?

Thanks,
Bob

Robert's right. That's either a neck or middle. If you have the other two pickups in the set, the bridge pickup will measure almost 10K with a multimeter. Here's how to tell which is the middle pickup: if you put it face to face (polepiece to polepiece) with the other two pickups, it'll be magnetically attracted to the neck or bridge pickup IF it's a middle pickup. However, if you put the neck pickup face to face with a bridge pickup from that set, the two pickups will repel each other. That's because the middle pickup is REVERSE POLARITY compared to the neck and bridge model. Lew

Thanks Robert and Lew. That's what it was supposed to be when I bought it, but I wanted to be sure before I possibly bought another Antiquity.
So, how can a person tell by the numbers?

I couldn't find the product ID #s on the SD main site so I used the DC resistance as an indicator. You could call SD directly and they could confirm that particular pickup.

There is a section under support/FAQs off of the SD main page that lists product IDs, but they don't have the Antiquities listed. There is also an Antiquities section under products, also off of the SD main page. If you have never broused the SD main page, it's work a clock through. There is alot of great info on the main SD site.

Thanks Robert. I've been through the main pages of the SD website, but haven't completely explored all the nooks and cranny's yet.
Do these pickups always come with the info on the back scotch-taped on? I thought that was kinda weird, and was also a factor in me researching this particular pickup a little further.

Re: I.D. a SD Antiquity pickup for me please?

I have owned 30+ SD pickups and I have installed quite a few more and I have never seen a taped on label from the factory.

Here's what it looks like

The "6.63ohms" label is partially on top of the tape.
The leads are only 6" long.
What do you think? Did I get took?

I just tested it with a meter and it reads 6.68ohms

Maybe the guy I bought it from wanted to protect the label and thought tape would work best....?
Who knows?

midnite man,

I recently bought a set of Antiquitys. It seems that the paper labels SD sticks on to the bottom of the pickups dont stay on for long. They just about fell off when I unwrapped the pickups. The previous owner of your pup must have stuck it back on with scotch tape... i didn't bother sticking them back on coz those pups are never coming out of my guitar!

The original length of the lead wires is actually quite long. Too bad yours were shortened, but the pup does look authentic. FWIW.
