Hey there,
I need a very small amp w/reverb to play clean and quiet at bedtime, to not to bug my neighbors. Headphones don't work. Was using old Fender Princeton Chorus, perfect on "1", treble on 10. It broke, first input 1, then 2, they are housed is plastic and motherboard, can't get to them.
looked at 100 amps, settled on Peavey Spyder 10 watt. Tried it out with others at G.Center. Best in Show. Got it home, set up close to my head on my pillow, and sure enough, it still sounded good, BUT, I didn't notice it makes a gain like "fizz" even if I just pick it lightly. It is not broken, just has a background noise at low levels I couldn't hear at a place like G. Center.
So I want a Princeton re-issue sound, but only need a fraction of the wattage. plus it costs near 1,000.00 for a new one. A little to much for a tiny sound. I would get one if they were only 100 bucks, but they aren't.
So thinking maybe an Acoustic brand small amp. Hey-any ideas? Need your help.
Thank You,
Steve Buffington (very disappointed).
