I dont think the EQ works on my ENGL lead channel anymore...

Ive just noticed that nothing happens if i tweak the EQ when using the "lead rough" channel on my ENGL Savage 120. For anyone that knows these amps, if i hit the rough/smooth button and switch to "smooth" then the EQ actually does something...but i use the amp in "rough" mode and the EQ knobs don't do anything when in "rough" mode. Anyone care to venture a guess as to why???

I'll venture a guess, but I doubt it'll have any merit :P. I have no experience with ENGLs.

I'm guessing the smooth/rough switch just alters the structure of the preamp a bit. Although I have no idea how to explain it any better or solve it, I think that when you engage the switch it's cutting out the EQ circuit. There might be a short somewhere in the circuit of that switch. Real electricians/amp techs?
