And bought this. It's not a USA, but it was such a good deal that I couldn't pass it up. Also, I was heartbroken that I could not spend the $1200 on Amplifier's Hardtail right now, so I manage to console myself with this.

Congratulations I was wondering when you were going to join the exclusive club!!! Well that is a nice looking guitar and at a very reasonable price. I don't think you will be disappointed with that guitar when it arrives and although it has got Duncan designed pups in them - a good set of '59s will do wonders and you can then throw all those Hardtails away :saeek: . It will make you think twice about Hamers!!

I know.....I've been watching and watching that on eBay and expecting someone to start bidding in the last few minutes. I actually missed the end of the first auction due to a conference call, and no one bid on it. I sent the seller and e-mail asking if he would accept his opening bid on the closed autcion, and he said no problem. He relisted it, I hit buy it now and it's on it's way.

I think I'll put a set of 59's in it that I have laying around, and give it a good cleaning/setup. It should be a great guitar. The guy said he bought it to learn and just hasn't had the time to learn. I think it should have sold for more, but that's my good fortune. I figure if I put 59's in it, and perhaps locking tuners, I should be able to see it for close to $500 if I decide not to keep it.

They were, but for a deal like this I'd be stupid to pass it up. Oh...no chance of these taking over as my number one from the Hardtail.

That is one good deal you got. Those typically go for at least $400 on Ebay. If you don't like it, you can easily get your money back, if not more than you paid.
