Thats a nice looking neck. You could consider putting it on a Fender Highway 1 body. They sell on ebay all the time for ~$120-$150. You can't really beat that price for a nitro finish on a solid alder body.

Great idea! thank you !I'm actually thinking of a reliced body by our Swedish friend who does fantastic work. Since the neck is already vintage tinted, it would work well with a beat to hell style reliced Tele . I'm actually wanting the tradational spank of Swamp Ash body , on this asembly.Nitrocellulose is also mandatory. Pickups MUST be Seymour Duncan Antiquities.

Jerry do you buy a guitar every month? You may have to wait until December to assemble this one :)

Re: I Finally Made the Move to assembling a Tele

Yeah,on this one my aim is to really let it simmer on the backburner and take my time to come up with the right components for the best cost. I want to brag about the price and quality when its done. No hurry. Ive learned alot about throwing money into gear so far, and Ive overspent in many instances, and Ive also made few stupendous deals,I try to get some good deals, and for the most part I believe I have.. but I DO NOT want to throw money at gear as if I was rich, because Im far far from being rich or even a guy with a great job. iIm just an avaerage guy, maybe older now with a few more recourses, but I tryto get waht I need that will get me some fantastic tone. Tone is awesome, it just totally blows my mind.No one amp will get the diversity of tone IM looking for, so I cololect many f=different amps, and thank god I can probabaly get bqck out from them waht Ive got into them..or possibly more, casue I also try to clean up and improve waht I have. I dont have too much going on inthe world, but the right tone just is amazeing and for me it makes a world of diffeence, so I have a lot of different tone possibilties reflected in my gear, and they are just absolutley amazeing when you get it right, and I think i have ,within my little budget.Ive had alot of free time to chase down stuff, and also try to fix and improve stuff, but that is changeing here pretty soon. I want to look back and say- I really went after some great gear that sounds terrific, and it isnt cheap or easy to find, but i dedicated myself to it, and now I dont have the time or energy to do that any longer, but look waht Ive been able to assemble here while makeing hay while the sun shined.

That's a nice neck but the face Fender decal kinda bugs me...

What do you have in mind for the body?

Im thinking a nice Swamp Ash body relic finish. Nitro paint- not too concrened about the color ( weel, not pink , green or red). Duncan Antiquities.
Good Hardware-barss sadles , steel bridgeplate and top quality electronics. . possibly a Duncan Phat Cat Hotrod neck or Mini humbucker pickup, but I want to experience the true tone of a vintage Seymour Duncan Antiquity bridge pickup in it.
Thank you for your interest.

I know exactly what you mean about taking your time tracking down good deals on all the parts. I did that when I assembled my telecaster and although it takes patience it does make the project more fun. GuitarFetish has a relatively good price on the Wilkinson tele bridges with the compensated brass saddles, but better deals can be found on e-bay still. Some places sell those bridges for more than twice what GuitarFetish sells them for though.
