I never personally had a problem snagging strings, but I did have a few problems with fit with them. Mainly the hotrails/cool rails setup I had. I'll have to give the new ones a try eventually...I've got to many other projects in the air at the moment, but they are on my to do list!

okay so what time should I expect the truck.....?

I'm actually a huge fan of the rails pickups and I've had the snagging/fitting problem myself. As more jazz fusion/hard rock kinda guy I like how they fatten and warm up the sound without being as full as a regular sized bucker. I almost always end up replacing my neck and middle singles with cool rails.

So are all the Rails pickups coming with the oval base now instead of the triangle base that the Hot Rails et al had?

I'm kinda wondering weather the Tele rails pickups got redesigned too? I haven't really seen anything saying they have, but nothing saying they haven't. I've actully been wanting ta try a tele hotrails, but always thought they looked fragile, and was always worryed I'de end up gougeing a coil on accident or sumthing. But these new designs look much heavyer duty. And thats why I wonder weather the tele ones got the make over. I'm gonna be getting another tele here in a little bit, and if the tele rails were redesigned too, I know what Bridge pickup I'm getting , But if not, then, well I dunno......Ed

Evan, if you're reading this, might I suggest a Cool Rails set for tele?

I know I would buy the pair, and I'm pretty sure others would as well, especially for the neck.

Yeah, but routing out the slot on the bodies of some teles (like my MIJ 69 Thinline RI) can be a bit of a hassle.

I also tried the Fast Track 1 for Tele (kinda like a Cool Rails when in a strat), and it was kind of cool, but I'd much rather give my money to Duncan.
