I Got My First Set Of Duncans Today!!!

I went in to the music shop and picked em up after work today, Im so excited!

I got a Duncan Custom SH-5 Bridge, and 2 SHR-1n Hot rails for Neck, middle.
Unfortunately I have to wait till next pay to get em installed because I just put a downpayment on a car. Its gonna be a very rough 2 weeks :D Ahh, it wont be too bad I guess, theres a Dimarzio in my guitar right now.... And Dimarzios are actually not bad. Just not my cup of tea.

Thanks Seymour and company for making such a sweet lineup of pickups and so many choices. If these pups rock half as hard as the sound clips I heard, Im going to be a very happy camper.

I just installed a Hot Rails neck in my Soloist. I totally love it! It was just what the doctor ordered. You're gonna like it, too.

Very cool pickup choice. If I had your guitar and played your type of music all the time, the SH-5 and Hot Rails would go in my guitar...

The Custom is my favorite pup for bridge. Gives enough bite for Van Halen/Dokken tunes yet not so saturated that it loses character. Good choice. :fing2:

Instead of waiting and paying money, go spend a few bucks on a soldering iron/solder.
It's as simple as heating up six spots, spending 10 minutes stripping wire, and putting the new ones in. You gotta learn sometime, right? I'm sure you'll like that pickup choice, too. :)

nice choice, if im honest i could never wait more than 10 minutes to put my pickups in when i first got mine, i Jb jr. i went and got a soldering iron and did it myself :) and now ive done it with many guitars, such a simple thing to do once you get over the initial 30 mins of confusion :P

I remember my first Duncans....Hot, warm, inviting. Bucking like there was no tomorrow. Moaning. Screaming. And then I got used to the new sensations and really got the rhythm working. The velvety..... Oops - sorry. I was thinking of something else! But the two events were kind of similar.
