I got my Lava Box....

It showed up a couple days ago and I had planned on trying it out at pratice last night but due to a surprise 1'+ snow storm plans changed. So far I've just run it in front of my GNX3 and think this thing is going to be great. I can see it easliy becoming my od boost pedal but it sounds so good on its own I may to just add it to the chain for yet another distortion flavor.

So compared to like a TS9 type OD how does it compare. Can it be similar or is it completely voiced differently. I wouldn't mind trying one, but if it's gonna be very much in the TS9 family I may pass.

i would like to hear a comparison with other amps distortion structures.What kind of OD sound it has!

Its not a tube screamer, more balls and grit and very even sounding, no mid hump.Its not as smooth as a TS or most od's, a little more distortion almost has a scratchy feel. Reacts almost like an amp. But these opinions are only based on playing through my GNX I have really cranked it with my rig yet.
