It's amazing what will pop up on CraigsList, but not quite as amazing as how quickly I can scramble my fat ass off to get to something before other folks when I reallly want it!

Looks to be all original, even the handle!

I have lusted over Tweeds for a long long time so I feel your pain!

I spent more on it than I should have. But in light of a few circumstances and a few conversations I'd had recently the price I paid for it seemed pretty reasonable.

My POD has a tweed Champ setting...I wonder how close it is?

On the XT it's close...but not quite gritty enough. It's hard to describe. The sounds just jumps out at you in a way that's kind of shocking but very farmiliar. I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot when I played it.

Yeah...I was photographing all CSI style....I was afraid to lose or break something so I took photos of everything from the angle I was at when I was there. Hard to believe there's only six screws holding the real and chassis in!

It's a simple circuit...and I know if I wanted one built it wouldn't be that hard to have it done or even do it myself. But there's something about owning the real-deal for awhile....

That's a great Craigslist score. You KNOW someone else would have snapped it up, if you hadn't. You should plug into a stereo pedal, and run your Trace Velocette and the Champ in stereo. 6V6 and EL-84 in stereo sounds.....well, you tell us!

all the components look original, and that thing is in great - incredible -- shape!!

easily worth $1K, IMO ... more than that, you just don't find these every day.

here's my '58:

I'd say yours is in better shape though ... these are great recording amp, sound HUGE with the right mic, and .. highly prized by the Rev G.
