I suppose it's possible for an old-timer not to know this, but...how? LOL!

Those guitars are cool and have a feel unto themselves with the shorter scale length.

I had a Mustang hanging around as a beat-up bedroom jammer for a while and it was a lot of fun!

I bought a Mustang body this weekend. I have a neck and saddle on order. I have it wired with a 3-way toggle, SSL-5 bridge, and SSL-2 neck. I also tested a modified Alembic Stratoblaster booster on my breadboard today. I will hold off soldering the Stratoblaster until I can test it with the assembled guitar and then tweak it to match the guitars tone. The Stratoblaster sounds massive.

Oh I hadn't heard about those! I did build a Warmoth with a 24.75" conversion neck, though.

The tele bridge sounds great but the neck is muddy. The bridge has less zing and more punch with the shorter scale.

The extremely short scale is why I don't like those models of guitar. The fretboard feels very cramped to my hands.
