Daisy Rock added another guitar to their line-up, thats kinda nice:

Duncan Designed Alnico stacked single at the bridge.
Duncan Designed Alnico humbucker at the neck.

If I was a girl . . . :laugh2:

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

Screw it, I'm a boy I want it anyway.

Besides, it's the "Tom Boy". That's close enough, right!

I wonder what pickups they're modeled after.

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

It looks like a tele and SG and the neck of a PRS all had a group clusterf**k and that guitar was the offspring.

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

if i were in a ventures cover band, or some sort of surf-band, that thing would be awsome

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

I like the body shape, but that pickguard gives me "bitter beer face".

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

It comes in white and pink also. The white looks a little better than that one. One of those in black, with a pearloid pickguard would be cool.

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

It'd be even better with a different pickguard and an f-hole on the left side.

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

I think the guitar looks better with the more drinks you have ... :)
Not my cup of meat.

The Tom Boy

The Tom Boy

Hey, glad you guys are digging the Tom Boy. You should hear this thing, it's awesome. The single coil in the bridge position is stacked, so you can tap it - and you can tap the Duncan Designed alnico humbucker in the neck position as well. It has an independent three-way switch for each pickup, so it's ridiculously versatile. You can get a bright, stratty twang or a huge sg crunch and anything in between. Blue Fire is my favorite color. Rock On!

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

We had a Tom Boy here in the office for awhile. Our own Scott Miller is the one who worked out the all the wiring and switching positions -- and it wasn't easy. What a versatile axe. Jeffdr, you guys did a great job on that guitar! (And welcome to the User Group Forum).

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

now if i could just muster up the balls to try one out at a guitat store...

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

That pink one makes me moist. I'm all about the 24 3/4 scale.

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

I really wanted that flower guitar in black...to cover The Cure. :laugh2:

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

Oh god... Daisy Rock... lol every time I think about that it makes me laugh. I'll keep my Ibanez thanks.

Re: I hate to say it . . . (Daisy Rock content)

The store I used ot work for picked up the Daisy Rock line while i was there. We never stocked any of the full scale electrics, though and I was never impressed with the 3/4 scale Heartbreakers and ummm....whatever the actual Daisy model was called. Awkward as all hell to hold, with necks that seemed too thick for the target demographic -- and yeah, I know they claim slimmer necks, but either they're talking about string-spacing and not front-back depth or...I don't know -- and tuning instability out the wazoo. The thinline acoustics, though, were not bad guitars for the money, so clearly the company is capable of making some decent instruments. And this one is very nice looking. I can't justify a purchase for myself, since it's very similar to a guitar I already own, but I think it looks great.
