I have an idea for a youtube series.

Okay, you guys send me a pedal that you think is ****ty to you, and I will try and get a usable sound out of it. and Yes, I'm looking at YOU. the guy that has 50 metalzones and other cheap pedals. It can be any effect, surprise me. PM me for address, and if I like the pedal, I'll keep it. if I don't, I'll send it back and I'll pay return shipping. I just want to test the waters as I have a small Joyo RDB pedalboard that is not getting used, so I want to put it to use as a small board to review pedals or even test them live. I just want to review budget gear for now as I LIKE experimenting with tones, and yes.. I'll even accept Behringer and Joyo pedals.. I'll buy the 1 spot to power the board, and maybe a standard dunlop wah and a boss TU-3 for the tuner, so I have a useable wah sound, and my favorite tuner on board. And yes, I'll even accept broken pedals as I want to learn how to repair pedals (that is another series I will do) And I'll also review picks and instrument cables as well, just the small accessories. Any volunteers?

How about this: do some pedal reviews with what you already have and/or buy on your own to review. If people find your reviews engaging and fun enough to want to see more of them, then people will be willing to send you their pedals just to hear your opinion of them.

Maybe you can ask people for suggestions from people before donations and get a scavenger hunt going. Then after your series is up and running and giving promising content, you can suggest that people recommend or donate pedals for you to review or contribute to a Patreon you set up so you can buy the pedals/earn a profit for yourself.

This way people can see what they are getting before making an investment, because even the worst pedals are still valuable to some people.

I mean if you have nothing to go on other than what people donate to you, you'll never get off the ground.

Well I could do that, but my vision is something unique, and I will go into an in depth review.

In other words - you just want people to give you free stuff because you don't want to actually invest any of your own money. If you spent as much time simply working so you could buy things yourself (like everyone else) as you do trying to get things out of people for free, you'd already have at least some of the things you want.
