Interesting. How does moving the neck pickup closer to the bridge affect the tone? What made you go with that humbucker/sustainiac neck combo anyway?

I suppose in theory the neck gets a bit more trebbly and a bit less bassy. Hard to compare though - you'd have to build two otherwise-identical guitars.
I went for the combo because I've not been impressed with the sound of the Sustainiac used as a pickup. This way I get the Sustainiac for, erm, sustain, and the Bulldogs for sound.

Nope - when the Sustainiac is on it automagically switches to the bridge pickup.
I've removed the last bits of the protective film from the scratchplate so it looks a lot smarter now. Also the Sustainiac is working - one wire wasn't quite into the terminal block.
