Dimarzio's no less....

the Air classic/ bluesbucker set.

breakdown time....

the Air Classic bridge: it reminds me ALOT of the 57 classics in my friends gibson SG. but it has more bite and is a bit more bright(probably due to the full strength A5 magnet) the air bucker technology makes it very close to an A2 pickup in fatness and articulation.... it has a very raw distortion on heavy gain, it's my favorite high gain sound out of a lower output pickup i've ever gotten. very raunchy and very P.A.F.-esque. i'd recommend it to anyone looking for a pickup to satisfy their need for vintage tone that can get fairly well into modern territory. the D-sonic and the tone zone still happen to be my favorite strictly modern tone humbuckers though, this just allows me to cover alot more ground.

bluesbucker: it's a ceramic magnet pickup with a lowered output. in the "vintage" range. it's best in the neck position and it has like a noiseless P-90 thing going for the sound, I really dig it, it has fattened up my solos alot, and I like smooth, fat, articulate, and very saturated sounding solos, this has definitely made me love my lead tone more! for a ceramic magnet pickup, the fatness definitely surprised me. this is honestly my perfect neck pickup.

hope that helps anyone looking into these pickups. I love me some duncans, but i've always kinda been a dimarzio guy.

Cheers!
