In my Demon 8 I previously changed the allen screws for long fillister one , of the row toward the neck , but I felt that for speed riffs bass were too big and slow tracking : mud .
So I shortened the screws and it cured it , and as an unexpected benefit the high strings went cleaner , rounder with less hiss of high treebles .
So I think that short screws tend to focus the tone on mids , as long ones give more bass and treebles , opening the tone . GOOD
