I think I'm gonna go with the gold pickguard and chrome hardware. The original bridge never came in gold. I suppose I could spray paint it or something. I wonder if nitro would work better than poly. lol

Nice subtle gold at least going by how the picture looks. Please do not spray paint the hardware gold. LOL at 'brushed aluminum gold plastic'. Just sounds odd like 100% genuine imitation leather material or something.

I think it needs a neck. And do all Duo-Sonics look like there was a rectangular chunk of wood taken out of the bridge, and then replaced? 'Cuz that one looks like it and so did this supposedly "modified Mustang body" i bought for an ex-girlfriend a year or two ago...

well, yes it does need a neck......most guitars do

I would try and find an auto sop that could paint the hardware like a powder coat or something.
Black pickguard with gold hardware could look cool
Gold brushed pickguard with nickel hardware could look cool
A heavy reliced yellowish white pickguard should look great with both hardware colors.
Duo sonics are great guitars, and they look really cool, It will look awesome in the end.
